Minnesota Power was the very first company to provide a donation to the Iron Range Makerspace. MN Power is a huge supporter of activities that benefit our Iron Range communities. Thank you Nancy and MN Power for the donation, but even more so for showing that you support what we are trying to accomplish!
Iron Range Engineering (IRE) was hugely important to IRM coming into existence. Sterling, April, Josiah, Kurt, Christine, and Andrew worked hard over a semester on the project when it was in infancy. IRE has contributed volunteers, resources, and an incredible network of supporting professionals. Thank you to all of the staff and the students for supporting the maker movement!
The Arrowhead Manufacturers and Fabricators Association and the Iron Range Makerspace parallel on the front of growing manufacturing and fabricating industries in Northern MN. Beyond donating to us, their support through rounding up equipment donations, networking, making space for IRM in their Shoptalk Newsletter, and generally being enthused about what we are doing has been incredibly helpful. Thanks to the staff and business owners who have helped out with AMFA!
Range Engineering Council does so many awesome things for our youth and engineering industry. From making the Iron Range STEM Showcase happen to teaching workshops on all sorts of engineering principles, they are always trying to better our communities. There are a huge part of our region, and a huge part of making the Iron Range Makerspace happen! Thanks to all of our colleagues at REC!
Alignex hooked the makerspace up with a number of educational suites of Solidworks, and even more awesome is that they helped to get an full commercial version so that our members can go commercial with their designs.
