Frequently Asked Questions

What is a makerspace?

A makerspace is a co-working and business incubation facility which houses tools and equipment from a broad range of trades that makers come to. What is a maker? You are! Examples of other makers: engineers, scientists, crafters, carpenters, artists, tinkers, inventors, entrepreneurs, musicians, designers, welders, tradespeople, or anyone else who creates.

Do you offer corporate memberships for companies?

Yes! The makerspace can offer reduced rates for companies that purchase membership packages for their entire workforce or even specific teams within the company. Contact us to determine what pricing can be offered for your organization.

Do you offer educational rate memberships for colleges and high schools?

Yes! We offer significantly reduced rates for educational institutions that wish to provide access to their student body. We believe that this increase our regions capabilities as the educational institution does not need to purchase the equipment or hire staff to run additional workspace.

Can I have a tour?

Absolutely! IRM welcomes tours anytime during our open hours, and on top of that they are free!

What are your core values?

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Friendly and helpful staff! They have some nice handmade items for sale in the front, but the real fun is the rest of the building. This makerspace has sewing machines, a 3D printer, lots of woodworking tools, a car lift, a professional kitchen, and a way or two to make t-shirts. They have group events, and did I mention the friendly staff? This place is perfect for the creative type who doesn't have the room for large equipment in their garage. Stop in and get a tour: you will be impressed!"
